The Panthers let Klare fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

When a board-topper like Max Klare slides to Round 3, Pick 29, you do not overthink it, and the Panthers did not. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Their trades came out a wash either way.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
