A solid, sensible weekend for the Eagles: B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Eagles did exactly that with Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins in slot 168.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. They banked enough surplus on James to cover a lot of smaller sins. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

In the Round 1 slot they get a ballhawk on the back end, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick64 Rnd2 Jalen Royals
Jalen Royals at pick No. 64 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick96 Rnd3 David Walker
David Walker at slot 96 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Jordan James slid further than he should have, and Round 4, Pick 32 is lovely value for the running back. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
