Draft Grade — Bills

FutureB-
The Bills let Everette fall and pounced. Final grade: B+. Whoever sat across the table from the Bills should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.
Everette falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They will need Zuhn III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
The Justin Jefferson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick49
Rnd2
Sonny Styles
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Sonny Styles in No. 49. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick56
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
A reasonable price with a little left over, Dillon Thieneman in Round 2, Pick 24. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick88
Rnd3
Daylen Everette
Taking Daylen Everette in pick 88 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick124
Rnd4
Deion Burks
A slide stopped in the 124th pick, with Deion Burks worth more than the price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick162
Rnd5
Tanner Koziol
They went early on Tanner Koziol in pick No. 162, and the value did not follow. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick220
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III at the Round 7 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick228
Rnd7
Drayk Bowen
Drayk Bowen at pick 228 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
