FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Falcons: B-. The Falcons' one glaring miss is quarterback, a need they left exactly as they found it. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
They are betting Zvada proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick48
Rnd2
Chris Johnson
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chris Johnson. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick79
Rnd3
Skyler Bell
They paid sticker price for Skyler Bell in pick 79, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick114
Rnd4
Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham in slot 114 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick196
Rnd6
Isaiah Jatta
Isaiah Jatta at Round 6, Pick 16 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick231
Rnd7
Dominic Zvada
They went early on Dominic Zvada in No. 231, and the value did not follow. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
