Best value of the weekend goes to the Vikings for Hall: B+. Whoever sat across the table from the Vikings should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Landing Hall that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Every board in the league had Burks lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Sonny Styles
In the Round 1 slot they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece. More want than need.
Pick49
Rnd2
Christen Miller
A tidy bit of business in slot 49, where Christen Miller graded well above the range. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick60
Rnd2
A.J. Haulcy
They let A.J. Haulcy come to them and pounced at pick 60. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick82
Rnd3
Jonah Coleman
A slide stopped in pick No. 82, with Jonah Coleman worth more than the price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick97
Rnd3
Deion Burks
Deion Burks in the 97th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The roster fit checks out.
Pick126
Rnd4
Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at No. 126 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick161
Rnd5
Tanner Koziol
Fair-plus on Tanner Koziol, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick166
Rnd5
Kage Casey
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Kage Casey in No. 166, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick194
Rnd6
Matt Gulbin
Matt Gulbin slid further than he should have, and pick No. 194 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick234
Rnd7
Jaren Kanak
Good price on Jaren Kanak in the 234th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It fills a real need, too.
Pick240
Rnd7
TJ Hall
TJ Hall at the Round 7 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
