Draft Grade — Titans
Overall C-
ValueA- NeedB TradesF FutureB+
The Titans let Dunker fall into their laps, and walked away with a C-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Gennings Dunker at the Round 4 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The final tally is a middling C-.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Hit on Carnell Tate and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
They let Carnell Tate come to them and pounced at the 22nd pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick35 Rnd2 Avieon Terrell
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Avieon Terrell at pick No. 35 is the proof. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick57 Rnd2 LT Overton
The board had LT Overton higher than No. 57, and the edge rusher fell to them anyway. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick66 Rnd3 Akheem Mesidor
They did well to land Akheem Mesidor in pick 66, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick86 Rnd3 Deontae Lawson
The board fumbled Deontae Lawson all the way to Round 3, Pick 22, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick101 Rnd4 Gennings Dunker
Gennings Dunker at the 101st overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick123 Rnd4 Michael Trigg
Good price on Michael Trigg in slot 123, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jakobe Thomas
Jakobe Thomas at the Round 4 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick140 Rnd5 Trinidad Chambliss
Circle this one: Trinidad Chambliss at the Round 5 slot is a fall that decides a draft. It fills a real need, too.
Pick142 Rnd5 Parker Brailsford
Parker Brailsford in Round 5, Pick 4 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick182 Rnd6 Josh Moten
A straight-up fair deal on Josh Moten at pick 182, value and slot in agreement. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick202 Rnd6 Josh Cuevas
A reasonable price with a little left over, Josh Cuevas in the 202nd pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
