dagray08 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Seahawks. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Seahawks walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.
Hecht falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Sonny Styles
In pick No. 32 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick64
Rnd2
Will Lee III
Will Lee III at No. 64 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick96
Rnd3
Sam Hecht
A tidy bit of business in pick 96, where Sam Hecht graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick211
Rnd6
Luke Altmyer
Luke Altmyer at the Round 6 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
