Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesC FutureB
The Browns won the night they stopped Raridon from sliding. Grade: B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Eli Raridon, the No. 125 name on the board, stolen at pick 147. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They are betting Tiernan proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Jordyn Tyson
By-the-book stuff, Jordyn Tyson at the Round 1 slot squarely in line with his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick31 Rnd1 Caleb Tiernan
A big swing on Caleb Tiernan at pick 31, well ahead of any board in the building. It fills a real need, too.
Pick39 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
No drama and no debate, Emmanuel Pregnon went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 7. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick70 Rnd3 Zakee Wheatley
They paid a round early for Zakee Wheatley in slot 70, more than the board wanted. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick116 Rnd4 Will Lee III
Fair-plus on Will Lee III, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick139 Rnd5 Jaeden Roberts
Jaeden Roberts at No. 139 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick144 Rnd5 Jude Bowry
They took Jude Bowry at par in pick No. 144, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick147 Rnd5 Eli Raridon
Eli Raridon in the 147th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick153 Rnd5 Drew Allar
They did well to land Drew Allar in No. 153, just ahead of his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick169 Rnd5 Chase Roberts
Chase Roberts slid further than he should have, and pick 169 is lovely value for the wide receiver. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
