Nobody dealt better than the Giants this weekend: B+.

The Giants ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On value alone, Campbell makes the weekend a net positive.

Adding CeeDee Lamb by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. The Roberts pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In the 12th pick they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick37 Rnd2 CJ Allen
CJ Allen at pick No. 37 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It adds depth where they could use a little.

A reach on Jaeden Roberts in pick 105; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

By-the-book stuff, Jalen Stroman at the 143rd overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Zane Durant at slot 184. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

They took Harrison Wallace III at par in Round 6, Pick 11, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.

DJ Campbell slipping to the Round 6 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
