Draft Grade — Bills
Overall C-
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The phones sank the Bills this weekend: C-.

Somebody took the Bills to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. It lands right in the middle: a C-, no more, no less.

The Robertson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Alexander reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

They will answer for taking cornerback early while offensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots went begging. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Chris Brazzell II
In pick No. 24 they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
Good price on Dillon Thieneman in the Round 2 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick63 Rnd2 A.J. Harris
A.J. Harris at the 63rd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick88 Rnd3 Nyck Harbor
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Nyck Harbor. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick123 Rnd4 D'Angelo Ponds
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went cornerback with D'Angelo Ponds while clear needs at offensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots sat open.
Pick131 Rnd4 Jaishawn Barham
A tidy bit of business in Round 4, Pick 31, where Jaishawn Barham graded well above the range. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick163 Rnd5 Jacob Rodriguez
They took Jacob Rodriguez at par in slot 163, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick164 Rnd5 Zane Durant
They talked themselves into Zane Durant at the 164th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick221 Rnd7 Sawyer Robertson
Sawyer Robertson at Round 7, Pick 6 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick230 Rnd7 Bear Alexander
They reached a country mile for Bear Alexander at the Round 7 slot, and the board is aghast. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
