DB27 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueB+
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Seahawks a B. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Seahawks walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
On value alone, Ponds makes the weekend a net positive. Every board in the league had Allen lower, and that gap is the story.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Sonny Styles
In pick 32 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick64
Rnd2
D'Angelo Ponds
D'Angelo Ponds slipping to Round 2, Pick 32 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick96
Rnd3
Kaytron Allen
A reach on Kaytron Allen in the 96th pick; the board had better options right there. The roster fit checks out.
Pick211
Rnd6
Thaddeus Dixon
Thaddeus Dixon in the 211th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
