Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Ravens a B-.

There is a lot to like until you notice interior defensive lineman is still a hole. The Ravens never got to the one that mattered most.

Reaching for Smith left real value on the table behind him. Greathouse falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Carter Smith
In Round 1, Pick 14 they get a blindside protector, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45 Rnd2 Bray Hubbard
Bray Hubbard at pick No. 45 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick80 Rnd3 Teitum Tuioti
They paid sticker price for Teitum Tuioti in the 80th overall pick, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick115 Rnd4 Whit Weeks
A tidy little value on Whit Weeks in slot 115, a step better than break-even. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick152 Rnd5 DJ Lagway
They did well to land DJ Lagway in the Round 5 slot, just ahead of his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick160 Rnd5 LJ Martin
LJ Martin at the 160th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick172 Rnd5 Jaden Greathouse
Jaden Greathouse slipping to No. 172 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Jermaine Mathews Jr. at pick 173 squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick249 Rnd7 Kaleb Jackson
Kaleb Jackson at the Round 7 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick252 Rnd7 Dezz Ricks
A straight-up fair deal on Dezz Ricks at the 252nd overall pick, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
