Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Falcons a B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Falcons did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to offensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick48
Rnd2
Chris Bell
Good price on Chris Bell in the Round 2 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick79
Rnd3
Daylen Everette
Daylen Everette at pick No. 79 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
