Wheatley should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Commanders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

Getting Wheatley where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
