The Jets bet the future on Mendoza. The board says B+.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Jets spent Round 7, Pick 5 on Dominic Zvada, a name most had 73 spots down the list. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The whole projection now runs through Fernando Mendoza; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Banks.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
