FutureB
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Ravens: B. The tape said wait; the Ravens did not. Mason Reiger went at No. 173, a good 26 picks before the board was ready. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They banked enough surplus on Fuller to cover a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Makai Lemon
No edge and no loss on Makai Lemon in the Round 1 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick47
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Anthony Hill Jr. in pick 47. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick82
Rnd3
Sam Hecht
They took Sam Hecht at par in Round 3, Pick 18, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick116
Rnd4
Eli Raridon
Eli Raridon in the 116th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick152
Rnd5
Jalen Stroman
Nothing to complain about; Jalen Stroman went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick160
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun in the 160th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick161
Rnd5
Ted Hurst
A reasonable price with a little left over, Ted Hurst in pick No. 161. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick172
Rnd5
Aamil Wagner
Aamil Wagner at slot 172 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick173
Rnd5
Mason Reiger
This one needs a full-page explanation: Mason Reiger in the Round 5 slot, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick194
Rnd6
Zxavian Harris
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zxavian Harris this early at pick 194. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick249
Rnd7
Andre Fuller
Andre Fuller at the 249th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick252
Rnd7
Diego Pavia
The board had Diego Pavia higher than Round 7, Pick 36, and the quarterback fell to them anyway. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
