A passer of the future in Mendoza, and a D+, for the Eagles. There is reaching, and then there is Keaten Wade at the 224th pick. The Eagles jumped the board by 66 and dared it to prove them wrong. A D+ that will need time and luck to look better.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The Klare pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
