Hill Jr. should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a D-.

The Commanders lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

Reaching for Zuhn III left real value on the table behind him. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

Getting Hill Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
