The Eagles bet big and early on Malachi Lawrence, 48 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Thieneman.
