The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Eagles watched Jake Slaughter slide 47 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Delp reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
