Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Browns.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Browns spent the 107th pick on J.C. Davis, a name the board had a full 35 spots lower. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. However the rest shakes out, Hall at that price is a win they earned.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In the 6th overall pick they get a downhill thumper at linebacker at fair value. Need was not the driver here.

In slot 24 they get a mismatch in the passing game. A real need, handled.

They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Denzel Boston in pick No. 39. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jake Slaughter at Round 3, Pick 6 is the proof. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
