When a board-topper like A.J. Haulcy slides to the 74th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Chiefs did not.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Curry pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
