The Chiefs did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

Nobody else had Caden Curry anywhere near the Round 3 slot. The Chiefs did, by 56 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They banked enough surplus on Washington Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
