The phones sank the Eagles this weekend: C.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Eagles shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C in the wash.

The cost of the Womack reach is exactly the players who went right after him. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Hit on Avieon Terrell and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Avieon Terrell
Avieon Terrell at pick No. 23 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick27 Rnd1 Caleb Banks
In No. 27 they get juice off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
Olaivavega Ioane is a better player than the 54th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick68 Rnd3 Max Klare
A slide stopped in the 68th pick, with Max Klare worth more than the price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick122 Rnd4 D'Angelo Ponds
Value with a capital V on D'Angelo Ponds in slot 122, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick138 Rnd4 Eli Raridon
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Eli Raridon in pick 138. The roster fit checks out.
Pick152 Rnd5 Max Iheanachor
A reasonable price with a little left over, Max Iheanachor in the Round 5 slot. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick180 Rnd5 Brenen Thompson
They read the board right and Brenen Thompson was the payoff at Round 5, Pick 41. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick202 Rnd6 Jalon Daniels
Jalon Daniels at Round 6, Pick 22 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick230 Rnd7 Da'Shawn Womack
Da'Shawn Womack at pick No. 230 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
