Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles let Banks fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

Somebody in pick 70 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Eagles sat still while Caleb Banks, the No. 26 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
In pick 22 they get a centerpiece for the ground game, and a steal at that.
Pick55 Rnd2 Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq in the 55th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick70 Rnd3 Caleb Banks
You do not let an edge rusher like Caleb Banks reach Round 3, Pick 6 and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick98 Rnd3 Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II in the Round 3 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick123 Rnd4 Deion Burks
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Deion Burks in the 123rd overall pick, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick137 Rnd4 Logan Jones
A straight-up fair deal on Logan Jones at pick No. 137, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick149 Rnd5 Jacob Rodriguez
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jacob Rodriguez. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick180 Rnd5 Zane Durant
A tidy bit of business in No. 180, where Zane Durant graded well above the range. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick204 Rnd6 Raylen Wilson
A clean, defensible pick in slot 204 with a little surplus value in Raylen Wilson. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
