Hunter should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a D.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

The Taaffe pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher still on the board. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Reaching for Elliott left real value on the table behind him.

Hunter falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
