The Vikings went off the board in a big way for Roman Hemby, 84 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They will answer for taking cornerback early while edge rusher and interior defensive lineman went begging.

However the rest shakes out, Wheatley at that price is a win they earned.
