Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Panthers.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Panthers walked out of the weekend still thin at cornerback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. The bottom line is a respectable B.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Williams. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Jonah Coleman at pick No. 48 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

Antonio Williams slipping to the Round 3 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
