There is reaching, and then there is Eric Gentry at the Round 7 slot. The Chiefs jumped the board by 33 and dared it to prove them wrong.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
