Adam0831 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueB+
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Seahawks: B. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Seahawks left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Cooper Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Avieon Terrell
In pick 32 they get a press-man option on the boundary, outstanding value to boot. Need was not the driver here.
Pick64
Rnd2
Taurean York
A tidy bit of business in the Round 2 slot, where Taurean York graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick96
Rnd3
Omar Cooper Jr.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Omar Cooper Jr. at the 96th overall pick is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick213
Rnd6
Luke Altmyer
Good price on Luke Altmyer in pick No. 213, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A need, and now a little less of one.
