Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Eagles and Maiava: B-.

When a board-topper like Jayden Maiava slides to slot 153, you do not overthink it, and the Eagles did not. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

They are betting O'Neill proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

On the needs board they went 7 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Anthony Hill Jr.
In No. 32 they get a three-down second-level presence. More want than need.
Pick64 Rnd2 Connor Lew
The board fumbled Connor Lew all the way to pick No. 64, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick65 Rnd3 Keon Sabb
The board had cheaper options than Keon Sabb at the 65th overall pick, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick96 Rnd3 Chandler Rivers
A clean, defensible pick in pick 96 with a little surplus value in Chandler Rivers. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick98 Rnd3 Suntarine Perkins
A slide stopped in slot 98, with Suntarine Perkins worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick132 Rnd4 Blake Miller
They did well to land Blake Miller in Round 4, Pick 32, just ahead of his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick135 Rnd4 Eric O'Neill
They left a pile of value on the table to take Eric O'Neill this early at the 135th pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick153 Rnd5 Jayden Maiava
Jayden Maiava in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick169 Rnd5 Terion Stewart
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Terion Stewart at No. 169. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick183 Rnd5 DeAndre Moore Jr.
They talked themselves into DeAndre Moore Jr. at pick No. 183, and the board did not agree. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick215 Rnd6 Noah Fifita
Circle this one: Noah Fifita at the 215th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
