Truckley45 DRAFTING FOR THEEagles
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall

FutureB-
The Eagles did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Eagles did exactly that with Eric O'Neill in pick 158. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Lew.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Dani Dennis-Sutton
In slot 29 they get a premier pass rusher. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Connor Lew
Connor Lew at No. 61 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick70
Rnd3
Zion Young
A real head-scratcher, Zion Young in pick No. 70 is miles ahead of his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick98
Rnd3
Mikail Kamara
A reach on Mikail Kamara in Round 3, Pick 34; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick129
Rnd4
Zachariah Branch
A slide stopped in the 129th pick, with Zachariah Branch worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick136
Rnd4
Jalon Kilgore
The board fumbled Jalon Kilgore all the way to pick 136, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick149
Rnd5
Justin Joly
Good price on Justin Joly in slot 149, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick158
Rnd5
Eric O'Neill
Eric O'Neill in pick 158 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick207
Rnd6
Quintrevion Wisner
Quintrevion Wisner at No. 207 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick211
Rnd6
DJ Harvey
DJ Harvey in the Round 6 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
