Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB- TradesA+ FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Rams for Scott: B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Rams came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

Scott falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it.

Adding Graham Barton by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In pick No. 15 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece at a price that makes it sweeter. Need was not the driver here.
Pick61 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jake Slaughter in the 61st pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick77 Rnd3 Germie Bernard
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Germie Bernard at Round 3, Pick 13 is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick93 Rnd3 Keionte Scott
Keionte Scott in No. 93 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick207 Rnd6 Keagen Trost
Somehow Keagen Trost was still sitting there in the Round 6 slot, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick232 Rnd7 Kaden Wetjen
By-the-book stuff, Kaden Wetjen at the 232nd overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick251 Rnd7 Zavion Thomas
Zavion Thomas at pick 251 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick252 Rnd7 Latrell McCutchin Sr.
Steal is underselling it; Latrell McCutchin Sr. at the 252nd pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
