A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a C+ weekend for the Panthers.

The search is over. The Panthers handed the keys to Fernando Mendoza, and the whole operation now runs on his development. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Rolder falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Panthers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

If Fernando Mendoza and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
