McNeil-Warren should have been long gone. The Cardinals pounced, and earned a A. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Cardinals came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Little to argue with here, and the A says so.
The McNeil-Warren steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Adding Pat Surtain II by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Kadyn Proctor
In the Round 1 slot they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick80
Rnd3
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Taking Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the 80th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick104
Rnd4
Malik Muhammad
A slide stopped in No. 104, with Malik Muhammad worth more than the price. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick127
Rnd4
Ar'maj Reed-Adams
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ar'maj Reed-Adams. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick138
Rnd4
Tim Keenan III
They took Tim Keenan III at par in pick 138, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Pick141
Rnd5
Eli Raridon
A tidy bit of business in the 141st pick, where Eli Raridon graded well above the range. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick181
Rnd6
Tyren Montgomery
The board had Tyren Montgomery higher than pick No. 181, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick217
Rnd7
Jimmy Rolder
Jimmy Rolder in pick 217 is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
