The Bears did not so much draft Adam Randall as overpay for him, 39 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

However the rest shakes out, Lew at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
