The Packers clearly saw something nobody else did in Jaylen Wright, taking him 23 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

The Smith pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, quarterback and other spots. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Melton pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
