There is conviction, and then there is this. The Colts took Xavian Sorey Jr. a full 127 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Washington steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
