When a board-topper like Lee Hunter slides to the 246th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Broncos did not. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
