Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The Ravens kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Ravens started one anyway for Mikail Kamara, 32 picks ahead of schedule. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 T.J. Parker
They jumped the gun on T.J. Parker, taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick45 Rnd2 Akheem Mesidor
A conviction pick on Akheem Mesidor at pick 45 that the board grades a round light. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick80 Rnd3 Mikail Kamara
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Mikail Kamara well ahead of where he belonged. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick115 Rnd4 J.C. Davis
A reach for J.C. Davis in the Round 4 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick152 Rnd5 Beau Stephens
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Beau Stephens at No. 152. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick160 Rnd5 Kevin Coleman Jr.
Kevin Coleman Jr. slid further than he should have, and the 160th overall pick is lovely value for the wide receiver. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick172 Rnd5 Zane Durant
They paid sticker price for Zane Durant in the 172nd overall pick, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick173 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
The board fumbled Domani Jackson all the way to the 173rd pick, and they scooped it up. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick249 Rnd7 Vinny Anthony II
They let Vinny Anthony II come to them and pounced at No. 249. It fills a real need, too.
Pick252 Rnd7 Carver Willis
Carver Willis in pick 252 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
