More right than wrong for the Lions, and a B to prove it.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Lions spent the 50th pick on Austin Barber, a name most had 36 spots down the list. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing McAlister that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

In slot 17 they get a sticky cover corner, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick50 Rnd2 Austin Barber
They talked themselves into Austin Barber at the 50th pick, and the board did not agree. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick118 Rnd4 Bishop Fitzgerald
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Bishop Fitzgerald at pick 118 is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Albert Regis in Round 5, Pick 17 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
