The phones sank the Chargers this weekend: C-.

The Chargers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Zane Durant at the 125th overall pick regardless, 59 picks early. Call it a C- and check back in two years.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Getting Slaughter where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
