The Traore reach set the tone, and the Titans never recovered: F. The tape said wait; the Titans did not. Boubacar Traore went at slot 92, a good 41 picks before the board was ready. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. With interior defensive lineman and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.
The Stockton pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
