Grand theft in the 84th pick: the Packers steal Slaughter and grade out a C.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Jake Slaughter, the No. 54 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 84. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
