Draft Grade — Lions
Overall
B

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Lions, and a B to prove it. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Lions did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to offensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most.
Landing Delane that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 2 of 9 of the wish list covered.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
Mansoor Delane
In slot 17 they get a sticky cover corner, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick50
Rnd2
Zion Young
Zion Young at the 50th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
