The Panthers spent the pick that matters most on Fernando Mendoza, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

However the rest shakes out, Endries at that price is a win they earned. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Roquan Smith pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
