You can draft well and still miss the point. The Panthers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The Styles value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The cost of the Green reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
