The Cowboys did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jacob Rodriguez fell into the 92nd pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The back end got a real overhaul.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

They took Tacario Davis at par in the 112th pick, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

Nothing to complain about; Isaiah World went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
