Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB- FutureA
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Buccaneers.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Buccaneers started one anyway for Keaten Wade, 56 picks ahead of schedule. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They will answer for taking linebacker early while interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots went begging. That Stowers pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Anthony Hill Jr.
Anthony Hill Jr. at the Round 1 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick46 Rnd2 Sonny Styles
They bypassed pressing needs at interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots to take Sonny Styles, a linebacker that was not the priority.
Pick83 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
They will replay Eli Stowers at the 83rd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick116 Rnd4 Bishop Fitzgerald
The board had Bishop Fitzgerald higher than the 116th pick, and the safety fell to them anyway. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick119 Rnd4 Keylan Rutledge
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Keylan Rutledge. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick153 Rnd5 Trey Moore
This one needs a full-page explanation: Trey Moore in Round 5, Pick 15, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick168 Rnd5 Oscar Delp
No edge and no loss on Oscar Delp in Round 5, Pick 30; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick193 Rnd6 Quinten Joyner
Quinten Joyner in the Round 6 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick198 Rnd6 Robert Spears-Jennings
Robert Spears-Jennings in pick 198 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick229 Rnd7 Keaten Wade
They reached a country mile for Keaten Wade at No. 229, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
