Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Buccaneers landed square in the muddy middle: C+. The Buccaneers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 15th overall pick on Quincy Rhodes Jr. a full 28 spots early. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Quincy Rhodes Jr.
A big swing on Quincy Rhodes Jr. at the 15th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It fills a real need, too.
Pick46
Rnd2
Will Heldt
Will Heldt in Round 2, Pick 14 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick77
Rnd3
Sammy Brown
They liked Sammy Brown enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 77. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick116
Rnd4
Kade Pieper
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kade Pieper. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
